We just moved cross-country to our beautiful forever-home in Olympia! We are very grateful for your gifts celebrating this new phase of our life together.

We have registered for handmade dishes and servingware from New Moon Studio — click here for our listings:

NOTE: You need to enter an address to place an order on Etsy. The artist has our shipping info already, and we don’t want to post our home address online, so you can use a fake number like so: 000 Eastside St. SE – Olympia, WA 98501

Other items we’d love to have as we’re setting up our house are listed through Amazon:

In a program through the I Do Foundation, will donate up to 3% of purchases from our Amazon registry to our chosen charity, the I Have A Dream Foundation. Inspired by the work of philanthropist Eugene Lang, affiliates of this organization work in cities across the US to support underprivileged students from primary school through college.

We have selected several other causes that are important to us, and we also welcome donations in our honor in lieu of gifts:

Charity Registry

  • Unmarried Equality¬†advocates for social and legal recognition for single people and diverse families. While we are excited to marry and believe that everyone should have that choice, we also believe that everyone deserves basic rights and dignities regardless of their relationship status or family structure.
  • NARAL Pro-Choice America is the leading organization advocating for women’s reproductive autonomy, health care, and right to privacy. This seems like a particularly important time to support a future where all women are ensured safe and legal access to comprehensive medical services and education.
  • The Sentencing Project¬†“works for a fair and effective U.S. criminal justice system by promoting reforms in sentencing policy, addressing unjust racial disparities and practices, and advocating for alternatives to incarceration.” Confronting discrimination and brutality within our current system of mass incarceration is pivotal to ameliorating poverty, community welfare, and social justice.
  • Feline Friends is a cat shelter near Olympia that offers rescue, adoption, spay/neuter, and community education services. As the moms of two kitties born on the streets, the welfare of stray or abandoned cats is near to our hearts. Locally based trap-neuter-release programs are especially important for reducing the feral population, the hardship and suffering of cats, and their impact on wildlife and the environment¬†(see Alley Cat Allies for more information about feral cats).
